Equal Pay Audits
Why now?
You may have stated in your Equal Pay Policy or statement that
you will carry out an equal pay audit. Or you may wish to carry out
a check on your existing pay and grading systems to see if there is
a risk of equal pay claims.
Whatever your reasons are, it is very important to manage
expectations. An equal pay audit is not a quick fix, and may not
result in immediate changes to your salary system. The results of
an equal pay audit should be a long term action plan which you will
commit to working towards with the support of your staff and/or
recognised unions.
