Diversity Training
Equality and Diversity Awareness Training
These equality and diversity training courses are short, sharp
bursts. At the end of the session, your staff will know why
equality and diversity is important to you, and what they have to
do in their jobs to create a fair and inclusive workplace and
service.
The numbers are up to you. I normally facilitate groups of
between 15-20 people for a half day session. If you have big
numbers, a lecture style arrangement with up to 60 people can still
be a very effective way of getting your message across.
I am not a therapist, and I don't go too deep. Diversity
training should be fun and interesting. It should not be a history
of injustice and prejudice. if you want this, ask me about my
training course on the History of Injustice and
Prejudice.
Your staff need to know a bit about the law, and how they are
expected to behave at work. They also need to be signposted towards
your policies, and what to do if they feel that they have been
treated unfairly.
They need to understand how equality and diversity is not an
added extra. It links to your strategy and business goals. It is
not something to be frightened of, and it isn't
complicated.
